Do amazing things during your Bavaria holiday!

Phenomenally blue lakes. Green fairytale forests. A castle, over there. And another one. That one is even prettier! We apologize for getting a little clichee-y. But in Free State of Bavaria, marvelous beauty is a part of reality. This is the land of stunning lakes and castles, after all. Speaking of castles: You will probably recognize the most popular one from the Disney Logo: Neuschwanstein is its name. Even in Forstern – where family-led Herzl Hotel is located – we have history that we are proud of. Our diesel fueled Eicher farm tractors have their own museum.

Fairytale castle Neuschwanstein & Schloss Nymphenburg

OMG, castle Neuschwanstein is just soooo romantic … Even Walt Disney thought so. He drew inspiration from our castle a total of three times: Once for the logo of the Walt Disney Animation Studio. And then for two of his movies, Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty. It is ironic that Neuschwanstein’s original owner, King Ludwig II, was known to be especially antisocial! From Herzl Hotel you will be driving two hours to reach Neuschwanstein. Too long?

Baroque castle Nymphenburg is a great alternative directly in Munich. We love the huge park surrounding the castle. Nymphenburger Canal ripples through green lawns. Instagram-able bridges span the little river. And if you go a bit further, you end up in botanical garden and deer garden. Yes, with real-live deer!

We at Herzl Hotel happily help you plan out every minute of your trip (if that is what you want). You need energy for all the fun activities. That is why our locally sourced breakfast buffet is especially generous!

BMW World Munich & Olympiapark

Art cannot quite hold your attention. But cars can? Drivers and passengers will be excited to visit the exhibition of Munich car manufacturer BMW. You will get to know the history of this German car brand and take a good look into the future too. The BMW i3-model is Germany’s leading electric vehicle. Close by are the green fields of Olympiapark. Do as the locals do and soak up some sun after visiting BMW world!
