Nature hotel for your family vacation in Bavaria

Holidays at Herzl Hotel are the compromise where no one in the family loses! Parents AND kids get what they want: Your little ones will loooove those cute animals at our two local zoos. Fun waterslides paired with a virtual reality experience at Therme Erding should impress even picky teenagers. And you – the grown-ups – can look forward to relaxing in your spacious family suite. Maybe watch a Netflix show or an Amazon Prime movie on the Smart TV? Of course there is a coffee machine (Nespresso, by the way)! Oh, and let’s not forget our generous breakfast buffet with local specialties. Who is a happy camper here?

Zoo Hellabrunn and Wildlife Park Poing

“Look, a giraffe! Right there!” At Zoo Hellabrunn, you stroll through zones where animals are grouped together by continent. This concept is called a Geozoo – and it is the first in the world. All enclosures are sustainably laid out in a way so water and other resources are put to maximum use.

“Five minutes more with the horsies, pleeeease …” Get acquainted with our local wildlife at Wildpark (wildlife park) Poing. A hiking trail snakes past deer, wolf, lynx and brown bear Mia with her three kiddies. Pack a picknick to enjoy on that nice lawn in the end. And soak up the sun while your youngsters conquer the adventure playground.

Travelling with little ones can be a bit of a hassle. But not at Herzl Hotel. Baby cot, special breakfast request or other demands – we will happily get you everything you need!

Waterslides and fun at Therme Erding

A blue lagoon is framed by real palm trees. Lots of natural sunlight shines through a glass roof – but the cold stays out so you can come all year round. Water temperature: balmy 32 degrees. Do you feel like you are in the tropics yet? Young water fans can splash around in three different kiddy pools. Teens and dads (ok, mainly dads) must try the unique virtual reality waterslide world. Meanwhile, mom can finally start that book she brought with her!

Bavaria Filmstadt (film studios) in Grünwald

Yes, we do shoot films here in Germany. Quite good ones too! The Bavaria Filmstadt is one of Europes biggest film studios. A visit here is perfect for that one day when it rains (every vacation has one). But it might also be worth coming on a sunny day. Original sets of many famous German classics are on display here. And Munich’s only 4D-cinema will suck you right into the screen: The seats are trembling; wind blows through your hair and … was that a splash of real water?
