“Look, a giraffe! Right there!” At Zoo Hellabrunn, you stroll through zones where animals are grouped together by continent. This concept is called a Geozoo – and it is the first in the world. All enclosures are sustainably laid out in a way so water and other resources are put to maximum use.
“Five minutes more with the horsies, pleeeease …” Get acquainted with our local wildlife at Wildpark (wildlife park) Poing. A hiking trail snakes past deer, wolf, lynx and brown bear Mia with her three kiddies. Pack a picknick to enjoy on that nice lawn in the end. And soak up the sun while your youngsters conquer the adventure playground.

Bavaria Filmstadt (film studios) in Grünwald
Yes, we do shoot films here in Germany. Quite good ones too! The Bavaria Filmstadt is one of Europes biggest film studios. A visit here is perfect for that one day when it rains (every vacation has one). But it might also be worth coming on a sunny day. Original sets of many famous German classics are on display here. And Munich’s only 4D-cinema will suck you right into the screen: The seats are trembling; wind blows through your hair and … was that a splash of real water?
